ABCD - American Born Confused Desi

Movie takes off interestingly but fails to build further on the premise. The concept of American born rich desi kid coming to India , without any funds available to spend , sets up ample scope to generate humor but the team has been only partially successful 

ABCD has a story that is not a run-of-the-mill one. There is little entertainment in first half, which could have been better though. Second half is more story oriented one with no enjoyable moments. 

 

Aravind(Allu Sirish) is a rich spoilt brat in the US who does not have any value for money. Seeing his careless attitude, his dad(Naga Babu) sends him to India to understand the real value of money. 

When compared to his previous films, Allu Sirish looks way better and does his role well. Performance wise, he has improved a lot and is now at ease in front of the camera. Sirish has a good comedy angle in him and that has been captured well in this film

One of the basic minus Points is that the film lacks proper narration in the second half. The manner in which hero realizes the value for money and basic human emotions could have been established in a proper manner.

Allu Sirish is, well Allu Sirish like he has been in any other movie of his. Playing an American Born should have given him scope to develop a new body language separating it from the past offerings, even if it gets into a cliché mode, but also that effort is not made.

Sanjeev Reddy, in his second directorial venture, jumps into a commercial space that is thin on story.

The music by Judah Sandhy is neat. The highlight of the album without any doubt is “Mella Mellaga” which is not only a success audio wise but also visually. The background score is alright.

 

'ABCD - American Born Confused Desi' starring Allu Sirish and Rukshar Dhillon in prominent roles has generated lot of buzz thanks to Sid Sriram’s super hit song 'Mella Mellaga'.

Allu Sirish has rich kid looks and suited to the character but he lacks performance skills to pull off this role.

We have recently seen or heard many news articles about rich business men sending off their sons to remote places to get drift of common man’s life and to make them understand how difficult it is to earn money.
