Aatagaallu

Nara Rohit keeps churning out films one after the other. Next in line is his new film Atagallu which also has Jagapathi Babu in a crucial role. 

Senior actor Jagapathi Babu is decent in his role of a reputed lawyer. All his courtroom scenes have come out quite nicely and create an interest factor.

On the whole, Atagallu is an old school murder mystery which you might have seen many a time in the past.

Director Parachuri Murali could have tightened the story and not too much of emotion unnecessarily. 

The game of one-upmanship is good to a certain point to keep the viewer on the edge of the seat. 

Jagapathi Babu’s stern and serious looks work out good for him. Darshana Banik comes in the flashback, so you know that her character is already dead. 

Director Parachuri Murali returns with a movie after a long gap. Aatagallu has its source in Hollywood movie Primal Fear, but the director tries to give it a fresh spin. 

Darshana Banik looks lovely and apart from that, she has nothing to do until the climax.

Music by Sai Karthik is below par. The background score feels nonexistent even though there are loud noises now and then.

ఫలితంతో సంబంధం లేకుండా వైవిధ్యమైన పాత్రలు ఎంచుకుని.. సిన్సియర్ గా నటించే రోహిత్.. సినీ దర్శకుడు అనేసరికి ఈ పాత్ర చేయడానికి ఒప్పుకున్నట్లున్నాడు.

టెక్నికల్ గా కూడా ‘ఆటగాళ్ళు’ అ:థమ స్థాయిలో ఉండటం విచిత్రం. సాయికార్తీక్ పాటలు కానీ.. నేపథ్య సంగీతం కానీ ఎలాంటి ప్రత్యేకత చాటుకోలేదు.
