Biography
Vijay is a popular Tamil hero and son of renowned director S.A.Chandrasekhar. Vijay debuted as a child artist in the 1992 film Naalaiya Theerpu and his 1996 film Poove Unnakkaga made him a recognizable star across Tamil industry. Vijay earned a tremendous following across class and mass audiences alike with films like Jilla, Kushi, Kaththi and Thuppakki. Vijay acted in over 50 films in Tamil and one of the biggest stars after Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan in the South.
Vijay is also known for his efforts towards charity and other social service events. He started the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, a social welfare organization that helps people affected by natural disaster and other calamities.
