Suriya is the eldest son of veteran Tamil actor Siva kumar and is a renowned Tamil hero and also popular across other South Indian industries. Suriya slowly rose to stardom by attempting versatile roles as a conman in Sivaputrudu, a hunch back in Sundarangudu and an amnesia patient in Gajini and also for his double role in Gautam Menon's Surya s/o Krishnan. Suriya has won 3 Tamil state awards and 4 Film fare awards in her career so far. Suriya is married to actress Jyothika and popular Tamil star Karthee is Suriya's younger brother. Suriya is also popular for his philanthropist work through his organization 'Angaram Foundation' (co-founder) and Save Tigers campaign.
