Ram Gopal Varma is a visionary Tollywood director who gained global acclaim for his strong sense of anti-socialism and drama. Verma's debut film Siva (1989) with Nagarjuna was a cult classic that changed the way Tollywood made films since then. Siva won 3 awards at IFFI (International Film Festival of India) and this was just the beginning. Varma had won 4 Nandi awards as the best director and 1 as a Best Screenplay writer. Varma quickly became popular in Bollywood as well, with films like Rangeela, Satya, and Sarkar. Satya is considered one of the 100 best Indian films ever made.
