Biography
Puri Jagannadh is one of the top directors of Tollywood known for his character-driven stories. Since his debut with Badri, the director has been delivering several hits with top stars of the industry. Puri Jagannadh's 2006 flick Pokiri with Mahesh Babu was a sensation at the box office and still one of the best in Puri's career. He also directed 2 Bollywood flicks, Shart: The challenge and Budda Hoga Tera Baap. He was one of the assistant directors for Ram Gopal Verma and the influence is clearly seen in his films.
Puri also launched some of the top heroines in Tollywood including Anushka Shetty, Asin and Hansika Motwani into the Southern Film Industry
