Krishna Vamsi is a popular Tollywood director/writer known for his eccentric style of filmmaking. Krishna Vamsi made his directorial debut in 1995, with the film Gulabi. His 1996 film with Nagarjuna, 'Ninne Pelladata' won great critical acclaim and highest grosser of the year. Krishna Vamsi quickly came to be known as a versatile director for his films like Antahpuram, Khadgam and Murari, which dealt with different subject matters. Before his debut, Krishna Vamsi was an assistant director under Ram Gopal Varma.
In his career, Krishna Vamsi has won 2 National film awards, 3 Filmfare South awards and 3 State Nandi awards. Krishna Vamsi is close friends with actor Prakash Raj and character artist Uttej. Krishna Vamsi is married to actress Ramya Krishna.
