K.Vishwanath is one of the most renowned directors of Tollywood, known for his unique subjects and fusing the aesthetics of the past and the future. Mr.Vishwanath debuted as a director with the 1965 film 'Aatma Gowravam' and gained a huge fame for his style of filmmaking and tackling several social issues. His films Mooga Manasulu, Siri Siri Muvva, Sankarabharanam, Sagara sangamam and Swathi mutyam were some of the cult films at the time which gained an international acclaim.
K.Vishwanath has directed 53 films in his career spanning 60 years and won 5 National Awards, 6 Nandi state awards, and 10 Film fare South awards. K.Vishwanath was also an audiographer, screenwriter and character actor.
