Biography
Gunasekhar is a renowned Tollywood director known for his films like Okkadu, Chudalanivundi and Arjun. Guna Sekhar made his debut as a director with the film Laati in 1992 but was shot to fame with the film 'Ramayanam' in the year 1996. This children's classic was screened at various events including the International Children's Film Festival of India. His first commercial hit was 'Okkadu' with Mahesh Babu that became the highest grossing Telugu film of 2003 and opened up a huge market for the director.
Okkadu went to win 9 State Nandi awards in various categories and four Filmfare awards including best director. Gunasekhar's 'Chudalanivundi' introduced the DTS style of sound mixing into Tollywood.
